The Ted Rogers School of Hospitality and Tourism Management at Ryerson University has more than 4,500 graduates working across all sectors of the tourism and hospitality industry, from large international hotel groups to convention and visitors bureaus, from OTAs to restaurants, attractions, and many more. Alumni are an integral part of the School and the Association that brings them together helps provide social, professional networking, and educational opportunities. In addition, alumni contribute to current students’ education by providing internship and job opportunities, coming for class visits, and with generous scholarships and awards.
I personally welcome you back to Ryerson University and encourage you to benefit from the networking opportunities and to contribute to current programs and students. Young graduates will benefit from the reputation of what alumni have achieved. On the other hand, you will benefit from making sure that the young graduates are as prepared and ready as possible to have a positive impact on the industry and the community at large.
The School is moving forward and must make sure that we make a mark in responding to industry needs as well as to the needs of the larger community. I count on our alumni and welcome their contributions as we prepare future leaders to have an impact on our community.
